The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Religio: Jurnal Studi Agama-agama (RJSAA) is a high-quality open access peer-reviewed research journal published by Department of Religious Studies, State Islamic University of Sunan Ampel Surabaya. Religió is providing a platform for researchers, academics, professionals, practitioners, and students to impart and share knowledge in the form of empirical and theoretical research papers, case studies, and literature reviews. Religio welcomes and acknowledges theoretical and empirical research papers and literature reviews from researchers, academics, professionals, practitioners, and students from all over the world.
Religio publishes research papers in the field of 1) religious studies, 2) cultural studies, 3) psychology of religion, 4) philosophy of religion, 5) history of religion, 6) religion and gender, and 7) world religions such as Judaism, Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, and indigenous religions. Interdisciplinary studies may include the studies of religion in the fields of anthropology, sociology, and other cultural studies.
The journal mainly publishes research-based articles in the area of religious studies. It may also publish a special issue for special conditions. The regular issues include March and September editions each year. All prospective contributors from various backgrounds are welcome to contribute to the journal publication. Contributions in English should be typed single-spaced and contain a minimum of 6.000 and a maximum of 8.000 words. The citation should follow Turabian style with footnotes.
