Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, this research relies on library research methodology for data gathering, particularly utilizing the document study method. Data analysis is conducted through descriptive analysis techniques. The research reveals that Suluk Linglung, authored by Iman Anom, a figure closely associated with Sunan Kalijaga, encapsulates the spiritual journey of Sunan Kalijaga towards attaining intellectual perfection. Within Islamic teachings, moral concepts are referred to as akhlaq, a topic extensively addressed by Sunan Kalijaga in his teachings, emphasizing the significance of moral education. The text underscores the importance of moral conduct in various aspects of human life, including relationships with the Divine, interactions with fellow beings, and self-reflection. Through juxtaposing the moral insights from Suluk Linglung with Kohlberg’s theoretical framework, this study contributes to a comprehensive understanding of moral development across different cultural and philosophical contexts.
Umi Maulidatus Sa’adah, Isa Anshori Copyright (c) 2024 Umi Maulidatus Sa’adah, Isa Anshori https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://jurnalfuf.uinsa.ac.id/index.php/juit/article/view/2615 Fri, 01 Dec 2023 00:00:00 +0000 Memaknai Penderitaan sebagai Proses Menuju Transendesi Diri: Studi Kasus Anak Muda Fase Quarter Life Crisis di UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya https://jurnalfuf.uinsa.ac.id/index.php/juit/article/view/2616
This article explores the significance of suffering as a pathway to self-transcendence, focusing on adolescents navigating the quarter-life crisis phase at UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. Employing qualitative research methods, data is gathered through purposive sampling and interviews conducted from January 13-23, 2023. Descriptive analysis is utilized to present field data and insights. The quarter-life crisis marks a challenging transition from adolescence to adulthood, characterized by feelings of insecurity, pessimism, and confusion about the future, impacting various aspects of life. The study employs self-transcendence as a lens to interpret individuals’ experiences of suffering during this phase of uncertainty. Suffering, in this context, emerges as a transformative process wherein individuals learn to transcend their struggles, fostering resilience and acceptance. The findings underscore the importance of maintaining a positive mindset and sincerity in navigating trials, as such perspectives facilitate personal growth and gratitude amidst adversity. Ultimately, experiencing suffering prompts introspection and self-evaluation, leading to enhanced resilience and the acquisition of valuable life lessons.
Reynata Ayu Permata, Mukhlisin Sa’ad Copyright (c) 2024 Reynata Ayu Permata, Mukhlisin Sa’ad https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://jurnalfuf.uinsa.ac.id/index.php/juit/article/view/2616 Fri, 01 Dec 2023 00:00:00 +0000 Fenomena Penolakan Ustaz Youtuber: Studi tentang Dakwah Hanan Attaki dalam Perspektif Kekerasan Simbolik Pierre Bourdieu https://jurnalfuf.uinsa.ac.id/index.php/juit/article/view/2614
This paper delves into the resistance faced by Hanan Attaki, an Indonesian preacher recognized for his contemporary preaching style and widespread popularity among diverse societal groups. Nonetheless, his fame also exposes him to the influence of the hierarchical structure within the sphere of social media. Each instance involving Hanan Attaki attracts significant public attention, evolving into a social spectacle subject to scrutiny, thereby giving rise to various societal concerns. Employing qualitative methodologies, this research scrutinizes the phenomenon of Hanan Attaki’s rejection through the lens of Pierre Bourdieu's theory of symbolic violence. Through this analysis, it is uncovered that social media has elevated Hanan Attaki to a prominent position within the da'wah field, thereby rendering the rejection incident in Pamekasan, Madura, as an outcome of pressure exerted by specific factions following the previous dismissal of a religious discourse. This coercion manifests in two forms of dominance: firstly, influential figures in Pamekasan, Madura, establishing ideological supremacy within the community, and secondly, Hanan Attaki asserting dominance through his explanatory content on YouTube, resulting in the misuse of symbolic authority and provoking adverse reactions on social media platforms. Consequently, this coercion engenders symbolic violence, which disrupts the social dynamics within the realm of social media.
M.G. Ramadhan, Loekisno Choiril Warsito Copyright (c) 2024 M.G.
