Nonetheless, his fame also exposes him to the influence of the hierarchical structure within the sphere of social media. Each instance involving Hanan Attaki attracts significant public attention, evolving into a social spectacle subject to scrutiny, thereby giving rise to various societal concerns. Employing qualitative methodologies, this research scrutinizes the phenomenon of Hanan Attaki’s rejection through the lens of Pierre Bourdieu's theory of symbolic violence. Through this analysis, it is uncovered that social media has elevated Hanan Attaki to a prominent position within the da'wah field, thereby rendering the rejection incident in Pamekasan, Madura, as an outcome of pressure exerted by specific factions following the previous dismissal of a religious discourse. This coercion manifests in two forms of dominance: firstly, influential figures in Pamekasan, Madura, establishing ideological supremacy within the community, and secondly, Hanan Attaki asserting dominance through his explanatory content on YouTube, resulting in the misuse of symbolic authority and provoking adverse reactions on social media platforms. Consequently, this coercion engenders symbolic violence, which disrupts the social dynamics within the realm of social media.
M.G. Ramadhan Loekisno Choiril Warsito Copyright (c) 2024 M.G. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, this research relies on library research methodology for data gathering, particularly utilizing the document study method. Data analysis is conducted through descriptive analysis techniques. The research reveals that Suluk Linglung, authored by Iman Anom, a figure closely associated with Sunan Kalijaga, encapsulates the spiritual journey of Sunan Kalijaga towards attaining intellectual perfection. Within Islamic teachings, moral concepts are referred to as akhlaq, a topic extensively addressed by Sunan Kalijaga in his teachings, emphasizing the significance of moral education. The text underscores the importance of moral conduct in various aspects of human life, including relationships with the Divine, interactions with fellow beings, and self-reflection. Through juxtaposing the moral insights from Suluk Linglung with Kohlberg’s theoretical framework, this study contributes to a comprehensive understanding of moral development across different cultural and philosophical contexts.
Umi Maulidatus Sa’adah Isa Anshori Copyright (c) 2024 Umi Maulidatus Sa’adah, Isa Anshori https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2023-12-01 2023-12-01 1 2 168 177 10.15642/juit.2023.1.2.168-177 Memaknai Penderitaan sebagai Proses Menuju Transendesi Diri: Studi Kasus Anak Muda Fase Quarter Life Crisis di UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya https://jurnalfuf.uinsa.ac.id/index.php/juit/article/view/2616
This article explores the significance of suffering as a pathway to self-transcendence, focusing on adolescents navigating the quarter-life crisis phase at UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. This article examines the meaning of death with an optimistic approach through a comparative study of the views of two Indonesian thinkers, Jalaluddin Rakhmat and Komaruddin Hidayat. Jalaluddin Rakhmat, in his book Memaknai Kematian, considers that death is a purification process for the soul to a holy place. Meanwhile, Komaruddin Hidayat, in his book Psikologi Kematian, states that death is a gateway to continuing a new, quality life. Jalaluddin Rakhmat's view of death illustrates that death is something that is closest, certain, and faithfully waiting for the next day. For humans, death is an unavoidable certainty. If someone considers death as a frightening threat, he tends to forget about it by being immersed in the pleasures of the world. However, if one longs for God, all good deeds will be prepared to achieve ultimate happiness after death. Meanwhile, Komaruddin Hidayat interprets death as a process that will make humans more perfect, bringing positive news for self-awareness rather than haunting themselves with excessive fear. Death is considered a cleansing moment that will make humans more holy, take a higher degree, get closer to God, and increase the spirit of worship
Sal Sabillah Nikmatus Solikah Muktafi Muktafi Copyright (c) 2024 Sal Sabillah Nikmatus Solikah, Muktafi Muktafi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2023-12-01 2023-12-01 1 2 243 260 10.15642/juit.2023.1.2.243-260 Kritik Ulama terhadap LGBT dalam Konten Youtube Ragil Mahardika: Analisis Teori Kekuasaan Michel Foucault https://jurnalfuf.uinsa.ac.id/index.php/juit/article/view/2622
This study delves into an examination of LGBT-related content on social media attributed to Ragil Mahardika, an individual of Indonesian heritage residing in Germany. Its focal point lies in analyzing the intersection between LGBT identities and religious viewpoints as manifested in Ragil’s YouTube content. Employing qualitative descriptive analysis, the research aims to illuminate the varied perspectives of religion towards LGBT individuals and reciprocally. Methodologically, the study utilizes observational and documentary data collection methods. Primary data sources consist of Ragil’s content with LGBT themes, while secondary data encompasses pertinent literature and academic works concerning LGBT issues. The analysis of this phenomenon is guided by Michel Foucault’s conceptualization of power dynamics. The findings uncover the intricate interplay of power relations, where power functions not merely as possession but as a strategic force, pervasive within societal norms and regulations, and inherently constructive. This stands in contrast to the viewpoints of certain religious traditions, particularly Islam, and its scholars. Ragil’s endeavors in content creation symbolize a form of counter-narrative exchange, challenging established ideologies and exerting influence in nontraditional manners. The study accentuates the complexity inherent in reconciling religious doctrines, such as Islamic law, with contemporary socio-cultural realities shaped by diverse expressions of identity and power dynamics.
Moch Jamilul Latif Loekisno Choirul Warsito Copyright (c) 2024 Moch Jamilul Latif, Loekisno Choirul Warsito https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2023-12-01 2023-12-01 1 2 261 279 Kontestasi Habaib dalam Perebutan Makna dan Aktualisasi Manhaj Kasru Saif https://jurnalfuf.uinsa.ac.id/index.php/juit/article/view/2623
This article delves into a contentious issue surrounding the Alawiyyin, commonly referred to as habaib in Indonesia. The polemic at hand garners attention due to the divergent approaches to preaching and religious practice within the Alawiyyin community. It appears that this community is bifurcated into two factions: one advocating for da‘wah with a gentle and respectful demeanor, while the other adopts a more aggressive, politically charged methodology, resorting even to insults and claims of nasab superiority. This schism has sparked concern among the peranakan Hadhrami in Indonesia, particularly the Alawiyyin, who have endured marginalization due to colonial segregation policies and internal discord. The sense of alienation experienced by the Alawiyyin has been further compounded by the reinforcement of their identity. This heightened identity consciousness stems from disparate interpretations of the concept of kafā‘ah (equality), which, in turn, has engendered a host of internal challenges within their community. These divergent perspectives on kafā‘ah have significantly shaped their approach to da‘wah (manhaj kasru saif) and their political stances. Consequently, the schism within the Alawiyyin community has precipitated a discourse of contention and debate among its members.
Fajar Hidayatulloh Ahmad Muchammad Helmi Umam Copyright (c) 2024 Fajar Hidayatulloh Ahmad, Muchammad Helmi Umami https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2023-12-01 2023-12-01 1 2 280 303 10.15642/juit.2023.1.2.280-303 Program Daurah Tahfidz al-Qur’an dalam Membina Akhlak Karimah Santri Pondok Pesantren Karangasem, Paciran, Lamongan https://jurnalfuf.uinsa.ac.id/index.php/juit/article/view/2624
This study discusses the Daurah Tahfidz al-Qur’an program as an effort to foster noble character traits among students of Pondok Pesantren Karangasem, Paciran, Lamongan.
